Global Speaker Series: Mental Health of University Students in Ukraine During and After the War

Join us for the next Global Speaker Series event, “Mental Health of University Students During and After the War: Battle for Ukrainian Future”, on March 6, 2024 at 10:00 am EST | 3:00 pm BST | 5:00 pm EET.

This session will feature researchers Dr. Irina Pinchuk, Dr. Volodymyr Virchenko, and Violetta Seleznova from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine) and will be moderated by Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam, Vice President, Education, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Canada). Speakers will discuss the results of a nationwide survey of more than 2300 respondents investigating the challenges posed by the full-scale war for the mental health of Ukrainian university students, highlighting the traumatic events, signs and symptoms of mental disorders among students, and their impact on academic performance.

This will be a one hour session.
